Privacy Policy
We ask for the minimum a credible petition needs, and nothing more.
What we collect
Petition signatures: name, email, country and optional phone, city, district, profession, organization and comment. Incident reports: the incident details you provide plus optional reporter and witness contact details. Contact and volunteer forms: the details you submit.
Why we collect it
To count signatures once per person so the total is credible when presented to authorities, to verify incident reports before publishing anything, and to reply to you when you ask us to.
What is published
Only your first name, last initial, city and comment — and only if you ticked the public display box and a moderator approved the text. Email addresses, phone numbers, reporter identities, witness details and vessel registrations are never published.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data. Aggregate figures (totals by city or district) may be shared with authorities and media. Individual records are shared only where a court or competent authority legally compels it.
Retention and deletion
Signature records are kept until the campaign formally concludes. Incident reports are kept as a safety record and may be anonymised. You can request access, correction or deletion of your record at any time through the contact page.
Security
Data is stored in a managed database with row-level access rules. Only vetted campaign administrators can read personal fields, and every administrative action is written to an audit log.
